Someday, a pair of these will appear close enough for me to jump on. 14's are really a fun speaker to sit down with, while they don't quite have the classic Altec midrange magic, they're well balanced and enjoy good extension at both ends of the spectrum that few other factory Altecs have. They're also handsome to look at and won't challenge your refrigerator and sofa for space.

Tempting....really tempting. Look to be in nice shape other than some fixable wood issues. That's about a 3.5 hour drive from here.

One of the other locals may make a play for them, but I have the twin issues of no money and no room.....

I just sprung a couple of Benny's for the return of my Madrids upgraded with a couple of EMIT tweeters, so I am spent for now....

I dropped a $200 bid on them for HomerJSimpson off the AK boards. Someone else already had one for at least that much in, and he didn't want to go any higher. Much better deal for a local at this point.

HJS knows there's a big time flipper in that town, so they may show up you know where soon....
